Birth Support

Congratulation on your growing family! We at Potomac Birth Services know the importance of choosing the right birth team to support you through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Our commitment to you, our client, is that we will support your birth wishes with respect and compassion, work professionally and cohesively with your providers, and be available to you before, during and after your birth.

We will be available for you during your pregnancy through unlimited phone, email and text support. We encourage communication about any of your desires or concerns surrounding your pregnancy, birth or postpartum period.

Your birth support will include a team of two doulas that are available 24/7 from acceptance of our services. Support will include:

  • Two prenatal appointments with both doulas in attendance

  • Face to face labor support from your doula on call during your birth

  • Two postpartum visits to discuss your birth, your family's transition and any additional support you may need

  • 24/7 email/text and phone call support from your team during pregnancy

  • 24/7 telephone support for the first ten days after your baby is born

During your pregnancy we will offer two prenatal appointments that both of your doulas will attend. Your doulas will discuss with you and your partner the vision that you have for your birth and immediate postpartum period, and help you create a birth plan (written or informal). During labor, after you request your doulas presence,  she will join you and support you and your partner through your birth and will remain with you until one to two hours after the birth of your baby.

We understand the importance of your birth and are honored to be a part of your journey.

*We offer flexible payment options as well as FSA/HSA payments, for your convenience

Additional services can be added to your labor package to customize your birth support to your needs. Contact us today to discuss your needs and set up a consultation
